Every volunteer role is a little different, but most offer flexibility around how often you serve. Each team uses a roster system, which could mean you're serving weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or just as needed—whatever works best for you.

While many of our opportunities take place on Sundays, there are also plenty of ways to use your gifts during the week as we serve our wider community.

Please note: some roles, particularly those involving anyone under 18 (like our NextGen ministry), do require police vetting.

We’d love to help you find the right fit! Let us know what area you're interested in or what skills you bring, and we’ll connect you with the relevant Team Leader who can provide more details about what’s involved.

For most of our volunteer roles, you don’t need any prior experience—we’ll show you the ropes and support you as you learn. We’re all about growing together!

Some teams, like Worship, may require specific skills or experience, but we’ll let you know what’s needed and help you explore the best fit for your gifts.

We have a wide range of teams you can get involved in—whether you're into music, tech, hospitality, or helping behind the scenes. Take a look at some of the areas you could be part of:

• Worship Team – Musicians, vocalists
• Tech Team – Projection, sound, lighting
• Photography & Videography Team
• Care Team – Prayer, Compassionate Catering, Foodbank, Kiwi Harvest
• Engage Team – Welcoming, Info Desk, Reset
• NextGen Team – Leaders & volunteers for Pre-School, Primary, Intermediate & High School
• Café Team – Baristas, wait staff, front of house
• Life & Interest Groups – Leading or facilitating a group
• Other Areas – Gardening, property support, events, or helping out where needed

Not sure what your gifts or talents are? Sometimes the answer lies in a few simple questions:

• What brings you joy?
• What are your hobbies?
• How do you naturally show love to others?
• What are your “secret” skills—the things you’re good at but might not even realise?

Now take a moment to reflect on those answers—how could you use them to serve our community?

Maybe you love cooking and express care through meals—you’d be a perfect fit for our Compassionate Catering Team, preparing meals for families in need. Or perhaps you’re great with computers and enjoy tech—our Projectionist Team could be just the spot for you.

If you’re still unsure, we’d love to invite you to our Discover Your Design course. Run on selected Sundays throughout the year, this course helps you explore how God has uniquely wired you—uncovering your gifts, passions, and how they could be used to serve His Kingdom.
