Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts

Everyone has been created with a unique design—a God-given blend of gifts, passions, and strengths, intentionally woven together. Discover Your Design is a course designed to help you identify the spiritual gifts God has placed within you and consider how they might be used to serve others and make a meaningful impact in the world around you.

Before beginning the assessment, take some time to reflect on your passions, life experiences, and even the places where you’ve felt pain or challenge. God often shapes our gifts through these moments. When you’re ready, complete the assessment below and begin discovering the way you’ve been uniquely designed.

Your Passions

We each have unique gifts, given to us through God’s grace. Some are called to prophesy—share truth and hope in ways that strengthen faith. Some are called to serve—meet the needs of others with humility and love. Some are gifted to teach—guide others in understanding and wisdom. Some are meant to encourage—offer words that lift and inspire. Some are called to give—share generously without hesitation. Some are meant to lead—guide others with diligence and integrity. And some are called to show mercy—offer compassion and kindness with a cheerful heart.
Romans 12:6–8

Reflective prompts:

Which of these gifts do I see most clearly in myself?

How can I use my gifts this week to bless others?

Are there ways I could stretch beyond my comfort zone to serve or encourage more fully?

How does using my gifts connect me to God’s greater purpose for my life and for the community around me?

Your Life Experiences

With God’s help, offer your everyday life to Him. Your sleeping, eating, working, and even your ordinary routines—bring them before God as an act of worship. Embrace all that God is doing in and through you, and let that be your gift to Him.
Romans 12:1

Reflective prompts:

What parts of my daily routine could I intentionally offer to God today?

How might I notice God’s work in the ordinary moments of my life?

In what ways can I live more consciously as a response to God’s grace?

How does seeing everyday life as an offering change the way I approach work, rest, and relationships?

Your Pain

All glory belongs to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is full of mercy and the source of every comfort. In times of trouble, He meets us with His compassion, giving us the strength and encouragement we need. And as we experience His comfort, we are equipped to offer the same to others—sharing hope and compassion with those who are hurting.
2 Corinthians 1:3

Reflective prompts:

When have I felt God’s comfort most deeply in my life?

How can I pass on that same comfort to someone who is struggling right now?

Are there ways I might be resisting giving or receiving comfort in my relationships?

How does understanding God as both merciful and comforting change the way I respond to challenges and to others?

Spiritual Gifts Assessment

This assessment has been designed to help you identify what your spiritual gifts may be. The assessment should take 5-7 minutes to complete.

You take the assessment by following the below steps:

Step 1:

Respond to each of the spiritual gifts statements by choosing the number that best describes you:
1 – Almost never
2 – Sometimes
3 – Almost always

We encourage you to answer instinctively and honestly. Your first response is often your most honest response.

Step 2:

At the end of the assessment is a tally sheet. Add the answers across each line and tally the total in the answer section.

Step 3:

Identify your three highest totals. Match each total with its corresponding letter and the spiritual gift it represents (listed below).

Step 4:

Read more about your identified gifts and reflect on how they may be expressed in your life. Perhaps you may consider connecting with a team at Windsor or in your personal life that aligns with your personality, strongest spiritual gifts, and availability to serve.

For example; if your spiritual gift is Craftmanshift, you may consider joining a Men's Shed. If it's Hospitality, you may consider joining the Connect Team or leading a Life Group. If it's Intercession, you may consider joining the Prayer Team or checking in on our Online Prayer Wall once per month.
