More than clothing—it's care you can wear.

One of the things we love most is seeing ideas from within our community come to life—so we’re thrilled to introduce you to Take7, a heartfelt initiative started by members of our own Windsor whānau!

Take7 was born out of a shared desire to serve people in our community who are experiencing hardship or homelessness by providing something often overlooked: clean, practical, comfortable clothing.

While food, showers, and laundry services are often available through various support networks, access to good-quality clothing is limited. That’s where Take7 steps in.

What We Do

Take7 collect new or gently used clothing that’s clean, comfortable, and functional. Items don’t need to be brand new—but they should be in really good condition:

- Free from stains or tears
- Working zips and all buttons intact
- Comfortable and seasonally appropriate
- Shoes, hats, compact blankets, and sleeping bags
- New underwear and socks are also provided


Once collected, the clothing is sorted, hung, and loaded into their small mobile wardrobe truck, which travels to community service hubs—places that may already offer food or showers, but not clothing.


There, individuals are welcomed one-on-one to choose up to 7 items. But it’s more than just clothing—it’s about Manaakitanga (respect, generosity, and care) and a good kōrerorero (chat).

Donate Financially

Take7 would greatly appreciate any financial donations to help them get set up and keep going! If you're able to give $7 to Take7 every 7 days (the cost of a coffee!)—or any amount as often as you can, they would be so grateful!

All donations are managed by Windsor Park Baptist Church, who also issue annual tax receipts. Take7 are always in need of clean, comfortable clothing in good condition (freshly washed, please!). At the moment they're topped up enough to get started, however you’re welcome to email them to find out what they currently have a particular need for.
